Pintosas em Pintura
São Paulo 2018
André Niemeyer presents 11 paintings and an installation that explores the kitsch, the blasphemous, ideas of camp and queerness inviting the audience to explore the boundaries of identity. Some images despite objects considered of good taste and are settled in what looks like a Parisian apartment.
The characters assume poses that we see in fashion magazines, dressed in colorful clothes, creating the rhythm of a geometric abstract painting. A way of seen the world as an aesthetic phenomenon.
